Charity of the year 2019 for The Theatre Dance Workshop, Denton.

This year Theatre Dance Workshop are celebrating their 30th Anniversary and have chosen Blood Bikes Manchester to be their special charity of the year.

Situated in Denton, Manchester they currently have around 100 dancers, who have classes once, twice or three times each week, covering all genres of dance, i.e. tap, ballet, jazz, modern etc. Aged from 3 to 63 years. They dance because they thoroughly enjoy it but also are delighted in performing to raise funds for charity.

In the past they have raised £5,000.00 for Children in Need, and over £10,000.00 for other local charities i.e. Francis House, Willow Wood, Bobby Moore Unit, Cystic Fibrosis Unit at Booth Hall, MacMillan Nurses, the ‘Kirsty’ Appeal, HAWC Cancer Charity,  FOP and last year the North West Air Ambulance to name a few.

The group have said ‘ It is a special year for us this year, as we are celebrating our 30 year anniversary of the school and we cannot think of better people and a better cause than BBM to share it with and to give our support to. Theatre Dance Workshop have chosen Blood Bikes Manchester as their charity of choice for 2019, as we value the work that you do as volunteers’.

3 Events have already been organised by the Dance Workshop including a Quiz night at Ashton United Football Club, Showtime at Stockport Plaza and Showtime at Romiley Forum and Blood Bikes Manchester are looking forward to working with them.
